I purchased this cup for my bathroom, since now that my husband passed away and my daughter moved out I am the only one using the cup.( I always hated those little paper cups we had for so many years). It feels like a kind of frosted porcelain, but I am not sure what it is made of. There is a rubber disc on the bottom that prevents it from slipping and it is white like the tub toilet and sink so I can change the complete color scheme at will. The only annoying thing about the purchase was that there was a very ridiculous sticker covering the rubber disc on the bottom of the cup that would not come off even with some serious attempts to get it off. I got most of it off but like I said it is annoying and it is not the cup's fault that the company won't spend a couple of pennies to buy more consumer friendly stickers! So it gets to keep all five stars!Thought it would work, but the rounded size makes it look really large, too large for where I had planned to use it. I kept it but eventually found one closer to the size and shape of a Kleenex box. Will use this in a guest room...not worth the effort of returning it.I thought this was porcelain - it was cheap metal with a painted finish and I returned it immediately.Poor quality
