Product Description Developing effective sleep patterns is an important goal in early childhood. Many parents of toddlers and preschoolers recount nightly bedtime battles. They dread the process and anticipate a struggle every night. If parents approach bedtime with anxiety and trepidation, these negative feeling become contagious and the child's level of arousal increases. It is important to establish a bedtime routine that is consistent and that progressively calms the child's demeanor. A bath followed by reading a book in the lap of a parent is a good prescription for easy sleep transition. With Box of Dreams, we hope to add one more effective tool in this prescription for easy bedtimes. Transitional events like bedtime are inherently stressful for young children. They are in the dark and feel alone. The songs in Box of Dreams are designed to create a soothing atmosphere that helps the child make this transition to sleep calmly. Our wish is also that the songs become cues for parents to frequently send their child the key messages of love and hope. Sample Song lyrics: Time has come to lay down your head. Day is done. Every word is said. Except for three special words- I love you. Growing Sound develops music and other products that translate key findings from recent child development research into practical and entertaining products for teachers, parents and children. From the Artist Growing Sound develops music and other products that translate key findings from recent child development research into practical and entertaining products for teachers, parents, and children. Founded in 2007 as a new venture of Children, Inc., our products stimulate social and emotional development in a way that is fun for young children. While many products focus on managing children's problem behaviors, Growing Sound is a proactive, strength-based approach to helping children discover the goodness in their lives and in themselves. As genuine breakthroughs in child development research increase there is a widening gap between what researchers know and what many parents and teachers practice. Parents and teachers want to optimize their child's development but they lack the time and expertise to digest the growing volume of research. Growing Sound answers this need by providing a line of products that distills the research into practical and fun activities for home and school. Children love our products because they are fun. Parents and educators love our products because they help teach children key skills like persistence, initiative and self-control. Growing Sound is committed to putting our products into the hands of as many motivated teachers and parents as possible and to make children here and around the world ready for school and ready for life. My two year old knows it's time to rest when he hears this music. I love to listen to him lie in bed and sing along with the soft songs. This is an album that I play on repeat, only to realize a couple hours later that I've left it playing. It's so soothing and calm, that it doesn't drive me crazy to listen!
