I wanted a cello-shaped case to use when traveling by air. The name brands seemed overpriced to me, so I looked for a knockoff. This case is nice and sturdy, yet very light and maneuverable. My only reservation is the strength of the interior structure which surrounds the violin. It could be stronger. I plan to supplement it by inserting foam rubber pieces around the violin when I travel. There are suspension pads; they were impossible to see in the photo.The most impressive part of this purchase was the service. The case arrived on my doorstep almost two weeks earlier than the earliest projected arrival date. It was very well packaged.I would have given this case five stars if the interior had been more solid. I will need to retrofit a bit for complete peace of mind when placing my violin in the overhead. As it is, the savings were worth the small amount of retrofitting I plan to do.
