Excellent litter box that’s easy to put together and very easy to take apart when scooping or changing litter as well as cleaning.The cleaning part is important because litter - and smell - can stick to plastic litter box trays but the stainless steel base which was recommended to me is much easier to clean and rinse when needed.The XL size can hold more litter and accommodate both larger cats and multiple cats.I especially like that it has both a front door and roof entrance so that cats who are used to one style of litter box can easily adjust to this new litter box. The door and tall walls/roof are important because they help contain tossed litter and spraying. The front door also has a simple lock in case you need to keep a dog out of the litter.The most important part of the door is that it’s a traditional pushing swing door which is safe for pets. The newer, automated litter box doors often malfunction and can strangle cats - please avoid them.The final thing to note is that there’s a small grate on the roof I was unaware of where you can place a pouch of charcoal or something similar to contain the smell.
