Ruler Scale for Quick Measurements

Much better than wooden or metal miter boxGreat product for small work. Accurate cuts. Highly recommend permanently fastening it to a flat surface. If unsecured, product will move and make cutting difficult. This box is portable, doesn’t collect rust or dirt and, in conjunction with a Japanese draw saw, makes superb trim pieces quick and easy mitres.Works ok but i tried to use it to cut some 3/4 inch dowel rods without it fastened down. Don't do this! It slides all over the place and you will not get a straight cut. While I would not want to do a whole house of moulding with this, for a small job and if you are a little careful with it, it does a much better job than I expected. When my 20 year old mitre saw went out I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars for something that I use maybe twice a year. I had a small project that required a few 45 degree cuts so for $10 I gave this a try. If you use a decent saw and are careful about holding the piece firm in the mitre box, it does a decent job. It does have a couple holes for screwing it down to a tabletop which would help. The cuts lined up perfectly when assembled - which is what this is all about. This box is pathetic! 1st, took 3 weeks to arrive. Ordered on February 25th and didn't arrivetill March 8, delaying my project only to be useless!NO instructions, and the plastic is easily getting cut by a weak blade on a saw equally useless. Area doesn't line up and not secure for tabletop use. I bought to make easy to take to my project, not to have to screw down!0 out 5! Sending backHard time using it with a regular SawIt works! Good price. The slits for a saw are super thin. I own a super basic Stanley saw and the blade does not fit in the slits of the mitre box. If I do manage to force it in, I end up sawing the mitre box plastic as much as the piece of wood I'm working with. The 45 degree slits are impossible to use - no amount of forcing makes them workable.Good quality and easily can make accurate cuts. The first inch is missing about 1/16"A compact versionMuy practico para trabajar con canaleta y madera
