A gorgeous product! If you have never had a macaron before, and you are expecting a cookie, please be aware that macarons are best suited to the sophisticated palate. They are delicate, to be savored by someone with the refinement to appreciate it. If you've been noshing at Mac Donalds and drinking Kool Aid and Coca Cola your whole life, try them, by all means--but YOU might not get these treasures so well. Americans...well, let's just say our tastes in foods ranges towards the broad end of things--very sweet, very fullbodied, crumbly, ect. Lilalove Macarons are more an experiential thing, to be slowly savored. Don't waste them on your husband or children, ladies--a box of Nilla wafers will do for them. I unashamedly finish the entirety of these gems by myself, and recommend you do the same.I don't as a rule write reviews at all unless it is exceptional one way or the other (good, bad).I new these were mini's I ordered, but I guess I didn't realize HOW mini they were for the price. ($20 plus $6.99 shipping)They tasted stale, and COULD have been $10.00 at the VERY most. The box was very pretty with the little pink ribbon,but the content was a HUGE disappointment. Had I sent them on as a gift, I would have had to cover my head in shame.Shame on me for purchasing them. I had always wanted to try these because I have seen them in HGTV magazine andthey looked so pretty and NAUGHTY (sugar content) So I was straying just by trying them in the first place.Good macarons, but hard to enjoy since I did not receive a list of flavors. I tried to go on the seller's website, but they didn't have anything there either. Its hard to enjoy them when you don't know what you're having.My husband gave these to me for Valentine’s Day and they are scrumptious! I have been running into every bakery and patisserie within the DC metro trying their macarons out and none have come close to the full cream flavors and light airy texture of the almond cookie. I will be ordering more!Wow! We just received our first box of Leila Love Macarons. My whole family is in love with these special treats! The chocolate is our favorite, tastes like German Chocolate, yum! This was a gift for my daughter and she is thrilled! We will definitely be getting again, and giving as gifts!Firstly, these tasted and looked amazing! They tasted so good, looked so vibrant and gorgeous, texturally were perfect! Secondly, the note sent along with it made me so happy to have supported the company! It warmed my heart and I’m definitely ordering more soon!So good lets start with that! I have never had any macs as good as these. When they arrived they tasted so fresh, just as if I went to the bakery myself. She also included the sweetest note. I will definitely be re purchasing these again but probably the full sized product;). Ate all the macaroons in a matter of minutes lol.
