The kit comes with all necessary hardware for installation on both dry van containers (20' and 40') and insulated and non-insulated 53' intermodal containers or van trailers. 5.5" width makes this lock box work for 53's when previous versions were too wide. Our design is smaller than other lock boxes on the market and this means less leverage and less room for thieves to cut the lock. ► Easy bolt-on installation with Grade 5 hidden carriage bolts. ► Back washer plate doubles as stencil for marking exact drill-hole location. ► Perfect laser cut and pressed profile to clear door seal while retaining snug fit against both doors. ► Durable powder coat finish - textured black.

There are a lot of options out there for securing your sea container. I chose this one because of great reviews and price. I am not disappointed. All parts are heavy duty. It took around 40 minutes to install. The box is well designed and even has a cutout to accommodate the door seal. I ordered with the lock and am very pleased. The lock is high quality and uses the same key style as my Abus Granite lock made in Germany. So I would guess it is at least of German Design and materials. If you had enough time you would probably be able to defeat this lock box but not without making a whole lot of noise trying to cut through the 3/16" box. The angle bracket is 3/8" thick. You remove and install the lock by feel since you cannot really see inside the box with the lock attached. Once you get the feel for attaching and removing the lock, it's a snap. Great design and easy to lock and unlock. If you can measure and follow installation directions then you will not have any trouble with installation. You will need a decent drill motor to drill the 4 mounting holes.
