Upon receiving the LED light did not work. My husband tested the two batteries, both completely dead. We replaced the batteries at the cost of $3 each. Works fine now. So beware! You may incur additional expense.The light on the box is blue which may make certain jewelry look funny. I put a rose gold diamond ring inside of it and the blue light did not compliment the ring. I think a silver or gold ring may do just fine in this lighting. The box itself is sturdy. It is a little wide and tall so keep that in mind if you are planning to put it in your pocket for a surprise engagement.By the time my friend opened her Christmas gift the light in the box did not work. I was very disappointed.I re proposed to my wife and got this box to highlight the ring. She loved the box and the light was perfectly aimed. However, it was pricey for something so simple. Quality is there, but after that special moment, sadly it just sits and collects dust.I bought 2. They were more expensive than I normally pay elsewhere to be honest. But to be fair, I have only opened one of them. But I was very impressed with the quality and the bright LED really lit up the ring and diamond!! Impressed.Causes that oh so important first impression to be what the presenter wants. Bracelet case is jewelers black, sturdy and is worth the money. The LED light is super bright and really shows off the ring...you can see the reflection of the diamond on the ceiling! Technically, it would only get a 4.5, as when I got it, the LED was off center and I had to adjust it a fair bit to get it aligned to the center. But this was easy to do and I will keep it's full 5 stars. Was it needed? No. But did it really make a special moment stand out more? Absolutely. Recommended.The light does wonders to show off the brilliance of any diamond ring, made the proposal that much more memorable!Good quality
