Like so many others my early childhood was filled with Beatrix Potter's books so these illustrations hold a lot of nostalgia for me. I love this set! Her artwork is absolutely beautiful. I think others have mentioned the issue of some of the cards being a bit fuzzy, which is true. They blew up some of the artwork to fit the card to avoid having to place borders around it but that is so much more preferable to me than having a bunch of cards with ugly borders, plus I think that her dreamy watercolors can stand up to a bit of fuzziness. It's also been mentioned that a few of the cards are made to look like book covers, with the title of the book and a small illustration with a lot of white space. I don't mind these at all. What I do mind are the cards that're just photographs/scans of actual books, which feels kind of lazy to me. Beatrix Potter's tiny little books are very charming but you don't really get a sense of that just from a single book floating around on a white background. I'll never use those and could have done without, but they're not that big a deal to me. There're also a few cards with unfortunate white boarders, but they're not numerous.Overall one of my favorite postcard sets and I can't wait to use it.I am always hesitate to purchase these boxes of post cards. This one turned out to be great, excellent quality cards in a lovely box..They are all different so many great pictures."The World Of Peter Rabbit", A Box of Postcards. Penguin Books Ltd. 2011.Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) published her first "Peter Rabbit" book in 1901. Her books have entertained my children and my grandchildren. She illustrated all of her books, developing her characters from critters commonly found in the countryside. This box of 100 postcards faithfully reproduces the Peter Rabbit illustrations, based upon the Potter water colors. There are a few cards showing Beatrix Potter herself. These cards were probably taken from photos. About half a dozen cards are reproductions of the covers of her books, including the famous 1901 "Peter Rabbit", which started it all.The back of the card is divided into address side and message side. I have found this box of cards to be great for Post Crossings, and for little notes for my grandchildren.I’m enjoying these postcards so much! They’re really nice and nicely packaged. These post cards were going out as Thank You's to friends and family after our first baby shower that was Beatrix Potter themed, and boy...these cards are BEAUTIFUL! Each of them truly a masterpiece, and different from the next. Such great variety--so whimsical! I am sure our guests will love them and we are very impressed! We are keeping the extras to frame and put up around our son's nursery. So excited! Amazing product. Amazing price. Overall just a great purchase! These mat-finish cards are adorable. There is a wide selection of cards. I send them out to kids on Postcrossing.I bought these to share with my grand daughters. The Beatrix Potter art work is exceptional. The quality of the postcards is very good. I happy to be able to share these with my grand daughters who are 7 and under.Completely enchanting! I didn't realize these would come in a commemorative box! This was even better than I expected. The artwork is just beautiful and vibrant. I also love reading things that weren't in Beatrix Potters printed work.Yes its 100 different real postcards. Actual postcards which can be posted through the mail, space on the back for address and message plus a few words about the subject. The quality is really very good, better than some postcards on sale from the racks. A nice sturdy box containing 100 nice sturdy useable postcards.Mostly illustrations of Beatrix Potter's characters by her own hand. All the cards are different but some are pictures of the original bookcovers and a small number are of other artwork by the author plus there are one or two photos of her.Very nice set. Could be used to decorate a child's room.lovely postcards really pretty pictures a great selection as welllove themAbsolutely beautiful gift. It comes in a box which is printed like a book and there is a gold ribbon which allows you to delicately pull the postcards up from the bottom of the box (without having to turn the box up-side-down and shake). The card prints are very recognisable as Beautrix Potter and good quality.Would I buy again..... absolutely!HANDY TIP : Check out the other 'new' suppliers as I managed to get this much cheaper than advertised.Such amazing value for money! Truly beautiful cards and each one is different! So in love with theseI use this for postcrossing and I get a lot of praises from this set of postcards. I do think the selection of the illustrations could be better though, there are a lot of postcards I can't use because they are just book covers and rough sketches. The large title "POST CARD - THE WORLD OF PETER RABBIT" on the back of the postcard is also quite unnecessary as it takes up almost 1/4 of free space of the postcard.
