Smaller than expected. It was okay gave it to a young teen for Christmas she liked it.It was damaged upon arrival. See picture above. You can clearly u see it is dented on top. Can't fix itI bought this for my active 3 year old for Christmas. He's been on this treasure hunt kick for some time and collects random small objects outside. He needed something to house all his treasures and he absolutely loves this chest! It's used daily and its holding up great (2 months of use so far).There is a space below that you can put other things, besides the 6 compartments above it.What boy doesn’t love a box, or any size. This one was full of future adventures! One grandson immediately began to fill his up with something he is collecting. I’m not sure what the other three were going to put in theirs, but I heard them plotting many great ideas & planning many great adventures with them.Cute concept, my son loves it for his jewelry, but the bottom bits that help hold the top part up was broken. Have to glue it back to fix it. Don’t anticipate it lasting super long, but it’ll work for a few years I’m sure. Would definitely gift it.I loved the look of it. It’s so bright and well made. I didn’t read thoroughly to know it was cardboard but it’s taken a lot of wear & tear & still looks new. It’s just perfect for a young boy & you can add the treasures! My grandson loves taking things out & filling with other treasures.My grandson loved it. I wish it was made of stronger material. I thought it would be made of a stronger material.
