Was looking for a traditional bread box to hide breads, pasteries and other count type snack and foods. For the most part this bread box has served it's purpose (we have very determined carb loving cats). The one and only complaint is the knob, it is very small in proportion to the size of the box and ease of opening of the sliding door. The screw provided for the knob to be attached to the door is very small and can not with stand the pressure of sliding the door open or closed. We've resorted to removing and just sliding it with our hands. I'm sure the screw can be replaced but just have not made the time for that.Item is what I wanted. Putting it together was simple until getting to the roll up door. That was a little more tricky and some of the links are warped. So, when I open I have to push them down in order to open all the way and get snagged when trying to close.I spray painted the breadbox black to match with the decor in the room. Would have given it 5 stars but there were some imperfections in the wood, almost like it wasnt sanded down even enough. Otherwise was a perfect fit for all my vitamins and not bread, lolThe door was bowed. Had a difficult time assembling door. Needed Vaseline to smooth up opening and closing. A few assembly pieces didn’t line up quite right. For the money it’s an ok product but I wouldn’t recommend It to a friend.Didn't come with tonges. The door can be hard to open and close ,but overall i like it and its sturdy. I also love that it has a shelf too, we store our daily medicines on the shelfFirstly, this doesn’t come with tongs like in the pictures, which is misleading. Secondly, it’s not the best quality. It’s difficult to open and close and if something gets pushed back, it prevents the door from sliding up so it gets stuck and you get “locked out.” It was too much of a pain to assemble so I can’t return it due to not being able to take it apart and put it back in the box. I can still use it and just keep the sliding door thing open but it sucks that there are no tongs like in the pictures.This bread box is perfect, it fits a loaf with lots of room for rolls or other items. Keeps everything fresh and prevents mold . I would recommend to anyone looking to keep bread and other things fresh and handy.Came with no assembly directions! Was very easy to put together. Bigger than anticipated.Love being able to put bread and snacks in it. It will hold up a long time very sturdy!
