Our Feeding set is also free of Melamine. Early laboratory research has shown melamine based tableware to leach melamine at various temperatures and when combined with other chemicals (such as formaldehyde and cyan uric) have the potential to pose a risk. As we expect the debate to begin on the safety of this chemical, the research we reviewed caused us ask a simple question. Does the product have to have melamine. Nope. So we built our set to be completely free of it. The Feeding Set was designed for a wide range of feeding ages. The set becomes useful from the moment that your doctor green lights solid food feeding to school days and beyond. Parents find the set is perfect for feeding and food storage. For traveling in the baby bag or in lunch boxes the Bento box is the ideal, no leak solution. We also included the Kids cup for when your child grows out of the Sippy cup range. Great little bento box. I love the color. It's neutral so it's good for both a girl AND boy. The plastic covering keeps it cool to the touch when I put hot food into the stainless steel box. I have not had any issues with leaks (but I also haven't put anything liquid in there either as it's not really shaped for liquid foods). I have put "wet" fruit in there like watermelon and haven't had leaks. So if that's worth mentioning ... there it is. Would I call it leakproof? I don't know I haven't tried putting soupy things in there but I would never do that either ... so ....take that for what you will. It's not LARGE by any means. But it's large enough for my 2 year old's lunch. If I need something bigger for what I'm making, I use another container. For the price, I do think it's a little expensive, but I'm willing to pay for durability and functionality and it's both for me. So 5 stars it is.
